"The added value of high-end equipment industries such as aerospace and equipment manufacturing, electronic and communications equipment manufacturing, and computer and office equipment manufacturing achieved double-digit growth year-on-year, with growth rates of 18.1%, 13.1%, and 11.0%, respectively." On August 15, the National Bureau of Statistics released the "report card" of the national economy in July. The overall economic operation was stable and made steady progress. The new momentum of the manufacturing industry was accelerated and strengthened, becoming a strong engine for economic growth.
In July, all regions continued to promote industrial innovation with technological innovation, and new industries, new models and new drivers flourished, injecting confidence into the market while promoting the continued recovery of the economy. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in July, the output of civil drones, service robots, integrated circuits, industrial robots and other products increased by 84.7%, 41.6%, 26.9% and 19.7% year-on-year respectively; among green products, the output of new energy vehicles, polysilicon, ultra-clear glass for solar industry and wind turbines increased by 27.8%, 27.3%, 23.1% and 39.6% year-on-year respectively.

Shaping new momentum and new advantages for development is the key to promoting high-quality economic development. The "Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Further Comprehensively Deepening Reform and Promoting Chinese-style Modernization" proposes to give birth to new industries, new models, and new momentum, and develop productivity characterized by high technology, high efficiency, and high quality.
Recently, various regions have intensively deployed economic work in the second half of the year. Many regions have clearly stated that they will focus on key areas such as artificial intelligence, commercial aerospace, robots, and low-altitude economy, expand high-quality enterprise groups, and enhance new momentum and new advantages. Sichuan proposed that it is necessary to analyze and study emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, green hydrogen, commercial aerospace, nuclear medicine, and low-altitude economy one by one, and to provide targeted support for "one industry, one policy" to continuously enhance the level of development and stamina. Jiangsu stated that it is necessary to carry out a number of technical research projects in the future industrial direction, deepen the integration of new generation information technology and manufacturing, accelerate the promotion of emerging scenarios such as industrial metaverse and biomanufacturing, and drive the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry with scenario innovation. Guangdong proposed that it is necessary to adhere to the construction of a modern industrial system with both new and old, optimize and improve the planning and layout of strategic industrial clusters, and take more pragmatic measures in the fields of biomedicine, food, electronic information, petrochemicals, automobiles, sensors, robots, etc. to promote the industry to become bigger and stronger.
As various parties step up their layout and policy effects continue to emerge, emerging industries are bound to gather momentum quickly and provide strong impetus for achieving the annual economic goals. (Feng Fang, commentator of China National Radio)
