[Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On August 16, Meta officially released a new application for Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro headsets - Quest HDMI Link.
This app enables wired projection of content from smartphones, tablets, and computers to the Quest headset, giving users a more immersive experience.
Meta said that any device that supports HDMI and DisplayPort output can project content to the Quest headset through the Quest HDMI Link application. This means that users can watch videos from other devices, play games, etc. on the headset, and the resolution of the projection can reach up to 1080P, with almost zero delay.
However, it is worth mentioning that in order to realize this function, users need to purchase a UVC and UAC compatible capture card and a USB 3.0 cable.
