Wang Xiaodong said that before Professor Deng Hongkui, there were two reprogramming methods that could produce pluripotent stem cells; and Professor Deng used chemical methods to reverse the state of cells. Wang Xiaodong gave an example, taking type 1 diabetes as an example, mature cells in the body can be used to make stem cells to repair the body's pancreatic system and reduce the patient's need for insulin.
