On August 5, the 2024 mid-year work conference of the China Enterprise Reform and Development Research Association (hereinafter referred to as China Enterprise Reform and Development Research Association) was held in Beijing.

The main tasks of this meeting are to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, conscientiously understand and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the deployment requirements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, summarize the work achievements of China Enterprise Research Institute in the first half of the year, and make arrangements for key tasks in the second half of the year.

Peng Huagang, President of China Enterprise Research Institute, attended the meeting and delivered a summary speech. Liu Mingzhong, Vice President of China Enterprise Research Institute, presided over the meeting. Tan Jian, Vice President-elect and Secretary-General, delivered a summary of the work in the first half of 2024 and a report on key work in the second half of the year. He emphasized that China Enterprise Research should focus on the three major positionings in its work: First, China Enterprise Research is a national first-level social organization approved by the State Council, and its business supervisor is the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It should play a necessary role in promoting my country's economic and social development and serve the central work of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Second, as a new type of think tank platform with Chinese characteristics dedicated to the research of enterprise reform and development policies, China Enterprise Research should take central enterprises, local state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises as the main research objects, and take the research of major issues of enterprise reform and development and the promotion of the implementation of research results as the main work, and give full play to the good role of promoting enterprise reform and development. Third, China Enterprise Research should serve enterprises and members, adhere to the leadership of the Party, enhance its core functions, and adhere to the twelve-character working principle of "being politically conscious, united, doing big things, and creating first-class".

Liu Mingzhong said that all comrades of China Enterprise Research Institute should work hard on "three in-depth studies and implementations": First, we should focus on in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. In summarizing the work of China Enterprise Research Institute in the first half of the year, Tan Jian pointed out that in the first half of 2024, under the leadership of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Enterprise Research Institute adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and achieved positive results in various tasks: First, we earnestly grasped the party building work, and the grassroots organizational strength construction reached a new level. Second, we exerted our expertise and completed a batch of high-quality new results in the research of the subject. We smoothly promoted the research work of important subjects such as the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, local provincial and municipal SASACs, and central enterprises. Third, we organized carefully, and high-end brand activities presented new highlights. We held the 7th China Enterprise Reform and Development Summit and Results Release Conference at a high level, and successfully held high-end brand activities such as the "New Quality Productivity" series of seminars and seminars, the 6th China Enterprise Lecture Hall, and the series of seminars and exchanges on corporate public opinion management and corporate image building. Fourth, we promoted systematically, and ESG work formed new advantages. Fifth, we will safeguard the bottom line and achieve new improvements in the influence of media communication. We will implement the management and supervision responsibilities of the media in charge and sponsor, and provide high-quality editing and publishing services for "Enterprises Must Participate". Sixth, we will be innovative and provide new forms of services for enterprises and localities. We will host enterprise competitions for the first time and hold enterprise-local docking activities. Seventh, relying on members, the working mechanism of the special committee will achieve new expansion. We will expand the capacity of the Sustainable Development Working Committee, comprehensively launch enterprise party building services, steadily advance credit work, reorganize and upgrade the Human Resources Management Committee and the Enterprise Management Working Committee, and the Digital Economy and Digital Assets Special Committee and the Strategy and Investment Special Committee are being established. Eighth, we will optimize services and give members a new experience of gain. By providing value-creating services, members' sense of belonging and satisfaction are effectively improved. Ninth, we will highlight key points and achieve new improvements in the level of management standardization. We will promote the scientific and sustainable development of China Enterprise Research Institute by improving the organizational system, standardizing business processes, adhering to the business bottom line, and strengthening team building.

Tan Jian pointed out that in the second half of the year, China Enterprise Research Institute should better play the advantages of the new think tank with Chinese characteristics, strive to provide various services, and fully promote the majority of enterprises to accelerate the construction of world-class enterprises: First, we must do a good job in party building at a high level. Second, we must do a good job in research projects with high standards. Third, we must organize brand activities with high quality. Sixth, we must do a good job in basic and mechanism construction at a high level.

This mid-year work meeting further clarified the annual target tasks and promoted the deepening of consensus.
