Recently, a cutting-edge technology system called "Kiln Temperature Intelligent Control" developed by the team of Chongqing University of Science and Technology has been successfully applied in many top domestic steel companies. It is understood that the project uses artificial intelligence algorithms to achieve precise adjustment of the temperature control parameters of rotary kiln equipment in the metallurgical process, eliminating the need for staff to enter high-risk working areas for manual temperature measurement and experience judgment, greatly reducing the shutdown frequency and explosion risk of rotary kilns.
Wang Cong, project leader of the "Kiln Temperature Intelligent Control" project and chief product designer, introduced that the "Kiln Temperature Intelligent Control" system has a core algorithm independently developed - a multi-label time-dependent prediction algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning. This innovative technology not only fills the gap in the intelligent monitoring technology of rotary kilns in the industry, but also realizes the accurate monitoring and real-time control of the temperature of the rotary kiln with its powerful data processing capabilities. At the same time, its intelligent agent autonomous learning technology enables the system to predict various indicators under unstable environmental conditions in real time. In addition, the seamless connection between its edge monitoring equipment and the cloud-based intelligent platform also ensures the rapid collection, accurate analysis and instant feedback of temperature data, providing intelligent decision-making support for the production line.
It is worth noting that compared with traditional temperature control systems, the "kiln temperature intelligent control" system has shown significant advantages in improving production efficiency and energy conservation and emission reduction. Its ultra-high-speed data response mechanism and high-precision temperature control and adjustment capabilities have directly promoted the optimization and upgrading of the steel production process. After applying this system, many steel mills have generally achieved significant improvements in production efficiency.
"With the continuous evolution and improvement of the 'kiln temperature intelligent control' system, it will be widely used in more steel companies and become an important force in promoting the intelligent and green transformation of the steel industry." Wang Cong said that at present, the project team has applied for 5 relevant national patents and 5 software copyrights, and has been approved for multiple provincial and ministerial projects.
He said that in the future, the team will rely on more advanced algorithms, smarter hardware and more complete platform support to provide all-round, full-chain solutions for the sustainable development of the metallurgical industry, helping companies achieve higher quality and more sustainable development goals.
