Traveling is a way to explore the unknown world. Movies are a way to let the soul travel. Traveling with movies can not only let us see beautiful scenery, but also let us better understand the stories in the movies.
This year, a large number of excellent films have been released, which not only bring wonderful stories, but also present beautiful scenery from all over the world. Today, let us follow these films and go to the filming locations of the films to start a special journey.
The "Yingying Store" in the movie "A Store at the Edge of the Cloud" has become a popular check-in spot.
Changsha: Start your red journey from here
The movie "Departure", which was released on July 1, tells the story of Comrade Mao Zedong's study tour and research while studying at Hunan First Normal School in 1917. He and Xiao Zisheng went deep into the grassroots of rural Hunan to conduct research, seeing all kinds of things in the world and people's livelihood, and from then on he set a grand ambition to save the country and the people.
The film was mainly shot in Changsha, Yiyang, Ningxiang and other places in Hunan. When talking about Changsha, we have to mention Orange Island. Orange Island is located in the center of the Xiangjiang River in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is the largest sandbar among the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River and is known as the "No. 1 Island in China". Here, the blue waves are rippling, the water and the sky are one color, and the shadows of sails are dotted, which is beautiful. Comrade Mao Zedong left his footprints here in his youth. In 1925, the young Mao Zedong stood on the bank of the Xiangjiang River, looking at the surging river water to the north, and wrote the popular "Qinyuanchun Changsha" with his pen, asking the long question "Ask the vast earth, who is the master of the rise and fall?" Today, an artistic sculpture of Mao Zedong in his youth stands at the head of Orange Island. Standing at the head of Orange Island, looking at the continuous Yuelu Mountain on both sides of the Xiangjiang River and the modern Changsha City, you can still feel the great ambitions of the great man back then.
In addition to enjoying the scenery, you can also watch a play. Entering the Youth Theater of the Schoolmates located in the Orange Island Scenic Area, the audience can "talk across the air" with revolutionary predecessors such as Mao Zedong, Cai Hesen, Xiang Jingyu, Tao Siyong, etc. a hundred years ago, and immerse themselves in their school days in Changsha in their youth. In addition to Orange Island, the Yang Kaihui Memorial Hall in Changsha, the Wenjia City Meeting Site of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and other red attractions are also worth visiting. Going to these places to take a look is not only a physical journey, but also a spiritual baptism.
The other filming locations of "Departure" also have different red attractions. By visiting these places, tourists can touch a lot of details of the red history and enrich their understanding of the party history and national history. The Fengdulun Revolutionary Site in Yiyang was once the base of the Seventh Division of the 25th Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. It was also the place where revolutionary predecessors such as Mao Zedong and Zhu De lived and fought. The Red Army Command Post, Red Conference Hall, Battle Positions, Hospitals, Supply Stations and other landscapes in the site show the life and combat environment of the Red Army at that time. The "Red Mark" Ningxiang Exhibition Hall in Ningxiang displays daily necessities used by revolutionary predecessors such as He Shuheng, Xie Juezai, and Gan Siqi, books read, and revolutionary relics such as pistols and ammunition. Looking at the exhibits and listening to the explanations, one revolutionary war after another seems to reappear before our eyes. At that moment, our red memory will become clear and profound.
Following the footsteps of young Mao Zedong's investigation and research in rural Hunan and setting out with the movie "Departure" is a red journey and also a red gene inheritance.

Fenghua: More than just "Yingying Store"
In the movie "A Small Shop at the Edge of the Clouds" released this summer, a line by grandma Wang Yingying left a deep impression on many viewers: "What is hometown? Our ancestors are buried here, so it is called hometown." The film tells the life of the young man Liu Shisan and his grandma Wang Yingying in the small town, showing a rural life scene full of warmth and nostalgia. The "Yunbian Town" and "Yingying Small Shop" in the film are symbols of hometown and neighborhood warmth. Since the release of the movie, people have been coming and going in front of the "Yingying Small Shop", which has become the most beautiful picture of the leisurely summer in "Yunbian Town".
The main filming locations of "A Small Shop at the Edge of the Clouds" are Dayan Town and Xikou Town in Fenghua, Ningbo, Zhejiang. "Yingying Small Shop" is hidden in Xifan Village, Dayan Town, Fenghua.
If you want to find the "Yingying Store" in the movie, the most convenient way is to drive there. It takes only more than an hour to drive from Ningbo city to Xifan Village. As soon as you turn into the village entrance, you will be greeted by the green scenery, just like the "green trees are thick and the summer is long" described by Gao Pian in the Tang Dynasty, making people feel like they are in a paradise. Follow the sign to find the "Yingying Store" with the house number 621 of Yunbian Town, and it seems that you have entered the world of Wang Yingying and Liu Shisan in the movie.
In fact, Fenghua is not only home to the Yingying Store in Xifan Village, but also famous tourist attractions such as Yantou Village, Qingyun Village, and Tengtou Village. After checking in at the Yingying Store, if you still have time, you can drive for half an hour to Dayan Peach Base to experience peach picking. Fenghua is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Peach".
When you are tired, you can try some local specialties. The Dayan roast duck, which is mainly seasoned with soy sauce, has a ruddy color, a mellow taste, and delicious meat, which is fat but not greasy; the beef dry noodles are mainly made of beef, offal and vermicelli, accompanied by green vegetables or rice cake slices, and cooked with special soup stock. The color is bright, the aroma is fragrant, and the taste is delicious; the Xikou thousand-layer cake is square in shape, contains 27 layers, with distinct layers, golden and green, crispy and mellow, crispy and refreshing, and moderately salty and sweet. In addition, Fengcheng wontons, stewed rice cakes, and rice cakes with scallion oil will also whet your appetite.
After having a good meal and a good drink, it is natural to walk around and experience the local customs and culture. As of the end of 2021, Fenghua has four national-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, including Fenghua cloth dragon, Ningbo walking book, legend of Budai Monk, and Hongbang tailoring skills, as well as four provincial-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, including Fenghua blowing and beating, singing news, Fenghua wedding, and Tangao paper making skills. Among them, Fenghua cloth dragon (commonly known as rolling dragon lantern and coiling dragon lantern), which has a history of more than 800 years, has the greatest influence in the local area. This folk art, which evolved from the past activities of worshiping gods and inviting gods, has participated in national art performances many times. In 1996, Fenghua was named the Hometown of Chinese Folk Art (Blouse Dragon Art) by the Ministry of Culture.
The Hongbang tailoring skills are also very famous. In the TV series "Fanghua", Abao asked a Hongbang tailor to make a custom suit. Ningbo is one of the earliest port cities to trade with foreign countries. Many foreigners lived here in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. At that time, many tailors in Ningbo mainly did business with foreigners (the locals jokingly called foreigners "red hair"), and the "Hongbang tailors" were born. In the history of Chinese clothing, the "Hongbang tailors" opened China's first suit store, published China's first monograph on suit theory, and opened China's first suit craft school, opening a new page in China's modern clothing history.
Are there any other beautiful sights in Fenghua? Yes. Fenghua in spring is suitable for flower viewing, with nearly a thousand acres of rapeseed flowers blooming in the mountain terraces, and the idyllic scenery like the Peach Blossom Spring is intoxicating; in summer, you can go to ancient villages such as Licun and Qixiakeng Village to escape the heat and enjoy the tranquility and coolness; in autumn, you can visit Tingxia Lake and take a photo with the "Internet celebrity tree" by the lake; in winter, you can go to the 5A-level scenic spot Xuedou Mountain to enjoy the snow and feel the charm of nature in the snowflakes. In short, Fenghua has its own style in each season.
Neijiang: Experience the slow life in "stop-and-go"
"Stop and Go", released this summer, is not only a movie, but also an invitation - inviting the audience to follow the protagonist's footsteps, stop and go on the journey of life, and feel the beauty and warmth that are ignored in daily life. This film with a unique creative concept depicts a true picture of the inner world of modern urbanites with a novel perspective and delicate brushstrokes. Through the protagonist's journey, we can re-examine our attitude towards life and learn to find a balance between busyness and life.
More than 90% of the film's exterior scenes were shot in Neijiang, Sichuan, and the crew visited many counties and districts in Neijiang. The film's Ximen Bridge, Ganquan Temple, Dati Lane, Tuojiang Theater and other filming locations have aroused the audience's strong interest in Neijiang, a small city in southern Sichuan. Although the film did not deliberately show the city's style, it cleverly integrated Neijiang's food and scenery into the plot, making the audience who watched the film exclaim, "This must be a city that is delicious, fun and interesting."
Neijiang is located in the southern part of Sichuan. It was born from water and named for its sweetness. The Tuojiang River runs through Neijiang City, forming the beautiful scenery of Tiancheng Lake with 21 kilometers of "nine bends and eleven turns". When Li Bai "walked and stopped" here, he left behind the famous sentence "Green mountains across the northern suburbs, white water around the eastern city". "People only know that Sichuan people like spicy food, but they don't know that Sichuan people also like sweet food." Neijiang is rich in sugarcane, white sugar and candied fruit, so it is nicknamed "Sweet City" and has been awarded the title of "China's Sweet Food Capital" by relevant institutions.
In "Stop and Go", the scene where the hero and heroine eat popsicles while walking is very impressive. Their relaxed and comfortable appearance is really enviable.
The scene of "eating popsicles" was taken under the Ximen Bridge in Neijiang. On one side of the Ximen Bridge is the People's Park, where many Neijiang people start their day. Near the Ximen Bridge, there are vegetable markets, restaurants, bars, and KTVs. Pedestrians and vehicles are walking slowly, each on its own path, full of the atmosphere of market life. At the same time, the special foods sold along the street, such as beef noodles, fried cakes, and Daqian dry-fried fish, can instantly activate your taste buds.
Compared with people in big cities, the pace of life in Neijiang is much slower. There are no traffic jams or noisy commercial districts, and people don't have to race against time. Whether strolling in the city park, walking along the river, or wandering in the alleys of the ancient town, everyone maintains a calm and tranquil attitude.
In addition to experiencing the life of the city, Daqian Garden, Dongxing Old Street, Tiancheng Lake, Huanghe Lake, Fanchangjiang Cultural Tourism Park, etc. are all worth visiting when traveling to Neijiang. There are dozens of 2A-level and above scenic spots in Neijiang, and some people may think that there are too many to visit all at once. Don't be so anxious, slow down when you arrive in Neijiang, and you can appreciate the charm of this city and taste the flavor of life by "walking and stopping".
Bayinbuluke: "Flying" out of the circle and "returning to the east" to attract tourists
"I declare that the Xindi Racing Team is officially established! The goal is Bayinbuluke!" In the movie "Speeding Life 2", accompanied by the protagonist's passionate slogan, a racing team that dreams of participating in the Bayinbuluke Car Rally is officially established.
In reality, the Bayinbuluke race track does not exist. However, the filming of "Speeding Life 2" was done on location in Bayinbuluke, making the place famous overnight.
Following the camera in the movie, you can see the winding mountain road spiraling up. The racing cars speeding by leave flying dust, and the extremely fast speed makes the dust almost condense into a silver chain, suspended in the air. In the distance, clouds and mist slowly rise from the top of the snow-capped mountains, and next to the road is the rushing river. In the movie, Bayinbuluke is a place where danger and beauty coexist.
In addition to "Flying Life 2", the variety show "Love Study Trip" also chose Bayinbuluke as a filming location. Because of these works, many viewers yearn for Bayinbuluke.
Bayinbuluke is located in the northwest of Hejing County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It features alpine meadow grassland and alpine marsh wetland ecosystems, with the upper reaches of the Kaidu River and marsh wetlands as the main body. Bayinbuluke means "rich spring water" in Mongolian. It is an ecological tourist attraction integrating basins, wetlands, hills and grasslands, and is known as the "green pure land". Love of the grassland, Swan Home, Zhaxtai Bird Watching Platform, Barun Kure, Basilik Observation Platform, Tageleng Mountain, the sacred mountain of the grassland, Hucan Kure, Tongxin Island, Bayinbuluke Ancient City Ruins... There are so many natural and cultural landscapes, there is always one that can make you intoxicated and linger.
Bayinbuluke is also the place where the Torghut tribe returned to the east. Their journey of returning to the east is recorded in detail in the book "Introduction to the Chinese Nation": "In 1771, the Torghut tribe of Western Mongolia in the lower reaches of the Volga River, led by their leader Ubashi, took eight months and traveled more than 10,000 miles to return to the motherland... The Torghut tribe's simple feelings for their ancestral homeland demonstrate their deep Chinese cultural identity, political identity and national identity, and have written a glorious chapter for the consolidation and development of a unified multi-ethnic country." During the peak tourist season, the Torghut Folk Culture Village in Bayinbuluke will stage a large-scale live-action drama "Impression of the Return to the East". Local herdsmen and hundreds of horses, black-headed sheep, yaks, camels, etc. will participate in the performance, fully presenting the love, family affection and friendship in the process of returning to the east, and bringing the audience a viewing experience across time and space.
Today, Bayinbuluke has become a popular tourist destination. In addition to the support of movies and variety shows, the cultural and tourism departments are also stepping up the development and promotion of local cultural and tourism resources.
From July 27 to 28, the 24th Nadam Festival held in Bayinbuluke attracted tourists from all over the country. In this Nadam Festival, there are horse racing, camel racing, wrestling and other events, as well as intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, characteristic ethnic food culture festivals, tourist souvenirs fairs, art performances and other cultural and tourism activities. Bayinbuluke focuses on exploring the local cultural connotations, taking "return to the east" as the core, creating its own cultural IP, and developing mutually supporting scenic spots, performances, and cultural and creative peripherals.
In short, Bayinbuluke is not only a tourist attraction, but also a place where people can relax their souls. When you set foot on this magical land, you will definitely be overwhelmed by its charm.
