Xi'an, August 13 (Xinhua) -- With a whistle, the X8153 China-Europe freight train departed from Xi'an International Port Station on August 13. This is the first China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) to Europe across the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea South channel this year. It also marks that the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) has exceeded 3,000 trains this year.

This train is loaded with mechanical parts, equipment, household items and other goods. After departing from Xi'an International Port Station, it passes through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Hungary and other countries, and finally arrives in Mannheim, Germany. The total journey is 11,300 kilometers and is expected to arrive in Germany around September 9.

This train is the upgraded route product of the China-Europe Express (Xi'an) since the first trans-Caspian Sea and Black Sea South Channel train routes were opened in 2022. The route uses "dedicated line dedicated" container ships to replace the Black Sea public ship schedule. After arriving in EU countries, self-operated locomotives and carriages will be used, and the vehicles will be prepared as planned, which will improve the transfer efficiency of "rail-sea transport" and further shorten the transportation time of the European section of the China-Europe Express (Xi'an).

According to reports, the upgrade of the line has effectively improved the international transportation efficiency of the European section of the China-Europe Express (Xi'an) and the transshipment efficiency of "rail-sea transport", opening up new trade routes for enterprises to stabilize exports. At the same time, it has provided strong transportation capacity guarantees for deepening the construction of the China-Europe Express (Xi'an) assembly center and building a highland of reform and opening up in inland Shaanxi.

Since the beginning of this year, China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has continued to strengthen cooperation with relevant units and continuously increased the efforts to operate China-Europe trains. At present, there are 18 China-Europe train (Xi'an) international transportation trunk lines, covering all major cargo sources in Europe and Asia, and building a "golden channel" for international trade with low cost, high efficiency and excellent service.
