Shenzhen News Network, August 13, 2024 (Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reporter Yi Dong, correspondent Bin Sheng, Wang Xue) In the early morning of August 12, accompanied by bursts of whistles, the foreign trade roll-on/roll-off ship "Changdalong" of Shenzhen China Merchants Ro-Ro Transport Co., Ltd. slowly berthed at berth No. 5 of Dachan Bay Terminal. Subsequently, 870 new energy vehicles successively entered the roll-on/roll-off ship and set off for the next port-Dubai Jebel Ali Port.

This is the first time that Dachanwan Terminal has exported new energy vehicles in the past five years. With the growing demand for automobiles among consumers in the Middle East, the market share of Chinese exported automobiles, especially new energy vehicles, in the Middle East continues to expand. This batch of new energy vehicles exported are brand new parallel export vehicles exported to foreign countries through traders, also known as "second-hand new cars". The export of second-hand cars has become an important tool to promote the upgrading of automobile consumption, promote automobile circulation and domestic and international dual circulation, and is of great significance to promoting industrial upgrading.
The ro-ro export was a direct voyage from Dachan Bay Terminal to Dubai Jebel Ali Port, with a short voyage and fast timeliness, which is more advantageous for meeting the needs of large-scale automobile exports. As a terminal with mature ro-ro operation experience, Dachan Bay Terminal has complete supporting facilities in the port area and can provide one-stop services such as vehicle inspection, license plate registration, and transfer of ownership, speeding up the export process.
