China Quality News Network reported on August 8 that according to the website of the Defective Product Recall Service Center of the Hunan Provincial Market Supervision Administration, recently, Jitai Electric Factory in Heitianpu Town, Shaodong City, in accordance with the requirements of the "Interim Provisions on Consumer Product Recall Management", took the initiative to report the recall plan to the Hunan Provincial Market Supervision Administration. From now on, it will recall some of the Jingyin Diamond brand JT-900A4 birdcage-type heaters produced from December 1 to December 30, 2023, involving a total of 1,450 units.

The JT-900A4 birdcage heater covered by this recall does not comply with the requirements of the GB4706.23-2007 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances Part 2 Special Requirements for Indoor Heaters" standard because the grounding wire is tightened before the current-carrying wire (live wire). If the grounding wire breaks before the current-carrying wire during use, consumers may experience electric shock if the grounding wire breaks.

Jitai Electric Appliance Factory in Heitianpu Town, Shaodong City will provide free repair services to customers to eliminate safety hazards.
