Recently, the second Beijing "Medical and Nursing Care Cup" Nursing Care Professional Skills Competition came to a successful conclusion, and the award ceremony was held at the Beijing Employee Service Center. Representatives from more than 100 medical institutions, nursing homes, and nursing companies across the city gathered together to witness the glorious moment of the industry's top talents.
This competition is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Political and Legal Affairs, Health and Culture Trade Union, and organized by the Beijing Nursing Workers Association, Beijing Nursing Service Industry Trade Union Federation, and Beijing Labor and Social Security Vocational College, and co-organized by the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau Trade Union. The competition aims to further play the role of vocational skills competitions in the training, selection and motivation of skilled nursing workers, build a skill display and exchange platform for the majority of nursing workers, encourage more nursing workers to improve their professional level, promote the standardization of nursing industry skills, and promote the healthy development of the nursing service industry.
The competition was launched in late June and was conducted in the form of a team competition, divided into two stages: the preliminary round and the final. The assessment content includes two parts: theoretical knowledge and skill operation. The theoretical knowledge test content is based on the "Medical Caregiver Vocational Training Course", and the skill operation involves assisting patients to turn over and lie on their side, washing their faces and hands, changing clothes for bedridden patients, and using wheelchairs.
The competition attracted 111 teams from all over the city, including 46 medical institutions, 48 nursing homes, and 17 nursing companies. After fierce competition, the team of Beijing Gongheyuan Elderly Care Service Co., Ltd. won the first prize; Beijing No. 1 Social Welfare Institute, Huijiafeng Health Industry Group Co., Ltd., and Beijing Haidian District Hexihui Elderly Apartment won the second prize; Beijing Haidian District Sijiqing Town Nursing Home, Beijing Century Altar Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Beijing Friendship Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Beijing Kangjian Afu Property Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Geriatric Hospital, Beijing Yifushoushan Fuhai Elderly Care Service Center won the third prize; 30 teams including Beijing Jinmengtai Hospital Management Group Co., Ltd. won the Excellence Award.
This competition also set up a special selection for the "Most Beautiful Nursing Staff". A total of 99 institutions made recommendations. After preliminary evaluation and on-site selection, Wang Chunhong from Peking University First Hospital and 10 others were awarded the title of "Most Beautiful Nursing Staff". During the competition, all participating units organized carefully, and 10 units including Peking University First Hospital won the "Excellent Organization Award".
Jiang Wenyun, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, expressed the hope that through this competition, more consensus from all sectors of society can be gathered to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, and to jointly care about, cultivate, and expand the nursing staff team, and strive to create a good social atmosphere for the city's nursing staff to "work comfortably, work decently, and develop in an all-round way," empowering the high-quality development of Beijing's medical and nursing industry.
