Yesterday (August 10), the reporter learned from China Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group Co., Ltd. that as the summer tourism to Tibet continues to heat up, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway has successively organized the operation of 2 pairs of temporary passenger trains from Xining to Lhasa and 1 pair of temporary passenger trains from Golmud to Lhasa on the basis of 6 pairs of scheduled passenger trains.The total number of passenger trains entering and leaving Tibet has increased from 3 pairs in the early days of operation to a historical high of 9 pairs.

At the same time, the railway department has integrated the "Tianlu Gesanghua" brand elements into the entire process of passenger service, transportation organization, and safe production, and promoted convenient measures such as electronic tickets, facial recognition, Internet meal ordering, free travel codes, and mobile payments to provide warm and convenient travel services for the majority of passengers.

Since the opening of the Golmud section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway on July 1, 2006, it has become the main means of transportation for people of all ethnic groups and passengers to enter and leave Tibet. It is understood that from July 1, when the summer railway transportation started, to August 10, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway has added 281 temporary passenger trains in and out of Tibet, sending more than 420,000 passengers in and out of Tibet.
