The layout of hospitals and schools is constantly being optimized

It accelerated the planning, construction, renovation and upgrading of 6 logistics bases and 4 first-level agricultural product wholesale markets. Among them, Beijing Fresh Agricultural Products Distribution Center successfully took over the wholesale function of Baliqiao Agricultural Products Wholesale Market, and 1,024 merchants were smoothly transferred and continued to operate.

The layout of medical and health resources has been continuously optimized, and the Shunyi branch of Friendship Hospital has been opened for business; the relocation and construction of Beijing Stomatological Hospital, the Tongzhou branch of Anzhen Hospital, and the second phase of Huilongguan branch of Jishuitan Hospital have been completed and are expected to be put into use before the end of the year; the Tongzhou branch of the Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Institute of Pediatrics, the new branch of Beijing Health Vocational College, and the relocation and construction of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention and other projects have been accelerated.

To promote the outward layout of more high-quality basic education resources, the Daxing Xihongmen branch of Huangchenggen Primary School is expected to be completed this year; the Fangshan branch of Huangchenggen Primary School and the Changyang branch of Yucai School are located in Changyang, Fangshan; the construction of Beijing No. 3 Experimental School has started, further expanding the supply of high-quality education resources.

Build convenient living facilities

To ensure that the people can eat with peace of mind and shop comfortably, Beijing completed the construction of 300 elderly care and dining assistance points in the first half of the year. 51 eligible elderly care stations in the central urban area were transformed and upgraded into community restaurants that can be operated on the market. Xizhimen Business District, Huairou New Town Business District, Pinggu Wandefu Business District and other areas have accelerated their renewal and upgrading, and 55 fifteen-minute convenience living circles have been built, making the vegetable market at the doorstep, the supermarket on the street and the park at the intersection within reach.

In order to effectively improve the living environment, more than 1,300 households in the Dongcheng Wangtan shantytown renovation project have been relocated; the functional restoration and reuse of more than 300 underground spaces (civil air defense projects) have been completed, of which 24 were used to build community activity centers, material storage and other convenient facilities.

Transportation has received much attention. In combination with the renovation of old factories and inefficient buildings, and the renewal of neighborhoods, the potential space of new parking facilities has been deeply explored. The central urban area has added 14,000 parking spaces through new construction and staggered sharing. The "Beijing Static Traffic Shared Parking" WeChat applet has been launched, and residents can apply for shared parking services online. Chuangye Road in Haidian District and Taihu West Road in Tongzhou District have completed comprehensive management and improvement such as greening and road repair, creating a more convenient and pleasant urban space for citizens.

Strengthening the city's green foundation

In the first half of the year, Beijing dealt with 10.95 million square meters of illegal construction and reclaimed 787 hectares of land; rectified about 39,000 pieces of urban furniture; strengthened the management of street traffic order, and the violation rates of non-motor vehicles and pedestrians at 161 key intersections decreased.

The refined management and service capabilities of key station areas are constantly improving. Beijing Railway Station has achieved "removing walls to see through the scenery", optimized and integrated four police facilities in the square, and repaved 4,027 square meters of the square floor. The exquisite and atmospheric new look of Beijing Railway Station has made a stunning appearance, complementing the scenery of Chang'an Avenue. Passengers can see Chang'an Avenue at a glance when they exit the station.

We will continue to consolidate the green foundation of the city. We have used the demolition of illegal buildings to leave blank space and increase green space by 214.76 hectares, and carried out the "uncovering the nets to see green" campaign for 506.81 hectares of land covered with green nets that have no plans to be used within a year. After the "uncovering the nets to see green" campaign, the land to the north of the Beijing Art Center has grown into a green meadow, becoming a popular check-in spot for tourists.

We have coordinated efforts to improve both the "hard facilities" and "soft governance" capabilities of governance-related streets and towns, and the overall progress of 445 annual governance tasks has reached 59.3%, of which 59 have been completed, and a number of difficult issues such as the temporary power supply transformation of Fangshan Qinfu Home Community have been resolved.
