The development trend of Shanghai's first store economy from January to July 2024 was released at the launch ceremony. Data showed that from January to July this year, 770 new first stores were added in Shanghai, an increase of 16.5% over the same period last year.

Since 2024, Shanghai's first store economy has continued to show a positive growth trend. In addition to the growth in quantity, the scale of first stores is also increasing, including 5 global first stores, 4 Asian first stores and 100 Chinese (mainland) first stores, with a year-on-year increase of 26.6% in high-level first stores. The first stores of international brands are mainly American and Japanese brands, and Italian brands have a higher growth. In terms of business distribution, the first stores in the catering industry increased by 17.9% year-on-year, and the first stores in the retail industry increased by 31% year-on-year.

At the launch ceremony, Jing'an District also released the 2024 "Enjoy the Summer, Shine in Jing'an" first store map, launching 145 first stores. Some of the city's key consumer landmarks, such as Plaza 66 and JC Mandarin Plaza, released the "Shanghai Summer" Quality Life Festival high-end brand membership month series of activities schedule.
