On August 7, 2024, Beijing time, Dingdong Maicai released its second quarter financial report for 2024. The financial report shows that Dingdong Maicai achieved the highest single-quarter net profit since 2021, reaching 67.126 million yuan, a month-on-month increase of about 4.5 times; the net profit under non-GAAP standards was 103 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of about 12.7 times.

In a conference call held on the same day, Liang Changlin, founder and CEO of Dingdong Maicai, said, "The seven years from 2017 when we started our business to today are the stage from 0 to 1. We have achieved profitability and achieved an annual revenue of more than 20 billion yuan. The second stage started this year, and the next seven years will be the stage from 1 to 10, and we will probably achieve an annual revenue of 100 billion yuan."

Liang Changlin said that Dingdong Maicai has further raised its expectations for net profit and business scale in the third quarter and the full year, and it is expected to achieve significant year-on-year growth and continue to achieve profitability under Non-GAAP and GAAP standards.

In the just-concluded second quarter, Dingdong Maicai's product revenue returned to the level before the epidemic, and its service revenue and "other operating income" both set new single-quarter historical highs.
