China News Service, Paris, August 9th. Due to the tension in the Middle East, Air France announced on the 8th that it would extend the suspension of flights to Beirut, Lebanon until August 11th.

Air France has already suspended flights to Beirut from July 29. The measure also applies to Transavia, the low-cost airline of the Air France-KLM Group.

There are currently more than 20,000 French people in Lebanon. The French diplomatic department asked its citizens to leave Lebanon on the 4th of this month. A spokesman for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that there are still commercial flights from Lebanon to France, and French people in Lebanon should evacuate as soon as possible.
