The reporter learned from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Commerce Department on the 7th that China and Saudi Arabia have recently reached a cooperation agreement on the "Photovoltaic Smart Agricultural Water-saving Technology Park" and the "Smart Constant Temperature Water-saving Photovoltaic Cabin" project.

The project partners plan to build a 10,000-acre "China-Saudi Arabia Photovoltaic Smart Agriculture Water-Saving Technology Park" and a 100-acre "China-Saudi Arabia Smart Constant Temperature Water-Saving Photovoltaic Cabin" in the Hongsibu Industrial Park in Ningxia and the Prince Nassour Agricultural Base in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia within five years, and to demonstrate and promote 70,000 typical models of water-saving agriculture, leisure tourism, health care and recreation based on smart constant temperature water-saving photovoltaic greenhouses in the arid areas of China and Arab countries and countries participating in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". It is expected to achieve an output value of US$1.06 billion.

On the 7th, in a smart constant temperature water-saving photovoltaic hut in Zhenbeibao Town, Xixia District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, rows of green vegetables are growing well. Relying on the green energy provided by photovoltaic power generation, the water supply, fertilization, spraying, temperature control, etc. of crops here have achieved intelligent control. According to Professor Sun Zhaojun of the project's R&D team, after years of research and development, this technology has solved the problem of difficult temperature control in traditional greenhouses, achieved constant temperature in all seasons, and successfully broken through the "bottleneck" problem of arid area agriculture. At the same time, with the help of the China-Arab Technology Transfer Platform, it has attracted many Arab companies to seek cooperation.

In recent years, Ningxia has actively carried out economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with Arab countries based on the China-Arab Expo platform, and has given full play to the role of the China-Arab Technology Transfer Center to actively explore China-Arab scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation. So far, it has built eight overseas bilateral technology transfer centers in the Arab League, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Egypt, etc., which have become an important channel for smooth China-Arab scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation.

Wu Lifeng, director of the China-Arab Countries Technology Transfer Center, introduced that through bilateral technical cooperation, exchanges and training, China's relevant technological achievements are gradually being demonstrated and promoted in Arab countries. At the same time, through bilateral exchanges and cooperation, China has cultivated a group of technical talents in 22 Arab countries and regions.
