In the summer vacation, Beijing Post Xicheng District Branch, together with Financial Street Children's Palace and other units, jointly launched an entertaining summer study activity - "Little Stamp Designer" at the China Stamp Designer Home Theme Post Office. The activity aims to cultivate children's interest and love for traditional culture by letting them participate in stamp design in person, so that stamps, a traditional cultural treasure, can take root in the hearts of children.
Since the event was launched in July, five sessions have been successfully held, and each session has been warmly welcomed by the majority of families. In order to meet the participation needs of more children, the organizers of the event also deliberately extended the event time from weekdays to weekends to ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate in this cultural feast.
At the event, the children started a creative journey on stamp design around the majestic stone dragon sculpture. They were not only attracted by the majestic posture of the dragon sculpture, but also aroused their strong interest in designing stamps by themselves. "Look, how majestic that dragon is. It would be great if we could draw it on stamps!" Such conversations were heard frequently, and the children expressed that they hoped to draw their imaginations on stamps to express their respect for traditional culture.
The event was rich in content. In addition to explaining the history of stamps, it also included a hand-painting practice session. Through the detailed explanation of professional guides, the children learned about the evolution and development of stamps in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. In the hand-painting practice session, the children transformed their inner creativity and imagination into colorful and childlike stamp design works.
The children either bowed their heads in contemplation or drew with their brushes, and each stroke contained their unique understanding and love of stamp culture. The "Little Stamp Designer" summer study activity not only provides a platform for children to show themselves and give full play to their creativity, but also highlights the mission and responsibility of postal workers as inheritors of the "postal" culture.
The China Stamp Designer's Home Theme Post Office expressed the hope that through such activities, more children's interest in and love for traditional culture can be stimulated, and that stamps, a medium that carries history and culture, can continue to convey the light of knowledge and dreams in the new era.
In the future, the China Stamp Designers' Home Theme Post Office will continue to work with partners from all walks of life to explore more innovative forms and contribute to the inheritance and promotion of China's excellent traditional culture. At the same time, we also hope that more children can participate in this meaningful activity and experience the charm and value of "postal" culture together.
