[Global Times Report] South Korea's "JoongAng Ilbo" quoted South Korean police on the 26th as saying that a US military soldier stationed in South Korea was arrested by police for causing trouble with a weapon and threatening guests in a hotel in Seoul after getting drunk.

According to the report, the Seoul Mapo Police Station said that the US soldier stationed in South Korea was drunk on the morning of July 5 and threatened the guests around him with a weapon at a restaurant in Mapo District, Seoul. He was arrested by the police on suspicion of special threats and obstruction of business. The soldier is currently under investigation.

Police reportedly said no one was injured in the incident and they plan to conclude their investigation into the soldier in the near future and hand it over to prosecutors next week.
