The Switch 2 rumor has been circulating for years. This new machine, which Nintendo fans joked that even Nintendo didn't know it was making, was finally officially announced this year. Although Nintendo has kept silent about the appearance, performance, and various parameters of the new machine, at least it lets players know that Nintendo is really making a new machine.

There are many rumors about the Switch 2, including its dimensions, performance, and appearance. Many experts have come up with various concept drawings of the Switch 2 based on rumors and their own designs. However, almost all of the concept designs are not real Switch 2 for players familiar with Nintendo.

For example, the one in the picture below has an arc design and various rounded corners. Although it looks very high-end, it has nothing to do with Nintendo's usual style, and the manufacturing process is also very inconsistent with Nintendo's usual economical style.

In addition, things like sliding screens and dual-screen designs are even more nonsense. They are just the imagination and self-entertainment of some players.

So what will the final Switch 2 look like? Recently, a great person came up with a design that I think is probably the closest to the real Switch 2. Let's take a look at what it looks like!

First of all, the overall appearance is not much different from the current switch, and it can even be said to be exactly the same. If you don’t look carefully, you won’t find the main difference in the appearance design. This is consistent with the theme of Switch 2 being positioned as an upgraded version of Switch.

The most significant change is that the screen has become larger, and the screen borders have also been refined. However, as is Nintendo's usual style, the refinement is not too much, so don't expect to have a so-called extremely narrow border.

Switch2 still supports the biggest design highlight of Switch, which is the detachable handle. The biggest highlight of this upgrade is that the slide rail is replaced with a magnetic one, which is more advanced overall. It also reduces the wear of the slide rail parts. I believe that players who have replaced the slide rail fasteners should know that the slide rails and fasteners are unreliable.

But without the fastener, will the iconic "click" sound of the Switch be lost? I wonder what sound Nintendo will use on the Switch 2 to express it?

In addition, the designer also designed multiple color schemes for the Switch 2. As we all know, Nintendo is a bit strange, and only gave the popular Switch a few colors, red, blue, and black, and later the Switch OLED added white. However, the color schemes of the controllers are N colors. To collect all the colors of the controllers, it is estimated that it will cost tens of thousands of yuan.

However, at present, only the handle has changed color, while the console has not changed color. It turns out that they really understand Nintendo.

More players hope that Nintendo can provide more color schemes on the Switch 2 this time. Referring to the Switch Lite, not only can the handle be changed in color, but the console should also launch more color schemes to give players more choices.

The designer also confirmed the rumor that the Switch 2 will support microphones and voice functions, and added them directly to the handle instead of the console. This design is reasonable, after all, when using the docking mode, the console is placed on the dock, which is far away from the player, which will affect the sound reception.

This problem does not exist if the microphone is designed on the handle.

One question worth discussing is that the designer may like Nintendo's cross key design very much, so he made the left handle similar to the cross key, which is different from the round button on the right handle. Some players may support this, especially those who like retro games and stand-alone games.

However, this design will cause inconsistent experience when sharing a controller or using a single controller. I wonder what button style Nintendo will use in the real machine? After all, Nintendo has also promoted a cross-key button controller before.

Finally, considering portability and other reasons, the back design of the switch 2 has not changed much, and it is still a straight-panel design, simple and clear. The non-large bracket that was well received by the previous switch OLED is still used.

Although the editor still hopes that there will be more breakthroughs and innovations in the appearance design of Switch 2, but considering Nintendo's style, I personally think that this concept design can be given a score of 9, and the remaining point is to save face for Nintendo.

I wonder how you would rate this concept design of Switch 2?
