Li Dongsheng believes that the new momentum and new advantages for China's economic development come from industrial transformation and upgrading and technological innovation, and giving full play to the main role of enterprises in scientific and technological innovation and stimulating their innovation vitality can accelerate the formation of new quality productivity and effectively improve the system and mechanism.

Li Dongsheng took TCL as an example. In recent years, TCL has continuously strengthened independent innovation, made breakthroughs in core technologies, and actively laid out next-generation display technologies such as printed OLED. In the past six years, TCL has invested more than 60 billion yuan in research and development, applied for more than 100,000 patents, and led the establishment of two national innovation centers. It has achieved a number of leading results in some key technologies such as new display and materials, photovoltaic materials, and semiconductor materials.

The communiqué once again stressed that "we must unswervingly consolidate and develop the public economy, and unswervingly encourage, support and guide the development of the non-public economy". Li Dongsheng pointed out that this will continue to boost the confidence of private enterprises in development, strengthen the determination of private enterprises to develop, and inspire the passion of private entrepreneurs to do things and start businesses. As a representative of private technology manufacturing companies, TCL will continue to deepen its development in the country's emerging strategic industries with high technology, heavy assets and long cycles, enhance the voice of Chinese companies in the global industrial chain, and help China's high-quality economic development.

The communiqué proposed to "enhance the ability to open up in expanding international cooperation and build a new open economic system with a higher level". In Li Dongsheng's view, globalization has become a must-answer question for Chinese companies. If they don't go overseas, they will be out of the game. Li Dongsheng said that as a pioneer in the globalization of Chinese companies, TCL is determined to implement a globalization strategy, and through promoting overseas localized operations, achieve win-win and shared benefits, and promote the sustained growth of its overseas revenue. In the past five years, TCL's overseas revenue has increased from 59 billion yuan to 125.3 billion yuan, with an average annual growth of 17.6%.

"Looking to the future, TCL will insist on innovation-driven development, focus on the weak links in the industrial chain, dare to advance into technological uncharted territory, dare to tackle major technological challenges, continuously promote the transformation and upgrading of the science and technology manufacturing industry, continue to explore new paths of globalization, and contribute to the advancement of Chinese-style modernization," said Li Dongsheng.
