IT Home reported on July 16 that Google announced in February this year that it would overhaul its own map application. Currently, the relevant updates have been implemented in Google Maps version 11.136.x, mainly focusing on efficiency improvements around the UI.

Google mentioned that now when users look up addresses,You can directly see the start/end point icon, and you can directly click on the bottom of the screen to switch between walking/public transportation/driving mode

Additionally, Google redesigned the POI details card using a form-based style. The overall style of the relevant POI cards is now similar to the Google Search app, which can present high-density information and facilitate users to intuitively obtain more content. After browsing, users can also click "X" or slide to quickly close it.

However, the above content is only the first step for Google to reshape its own map software. It is expected that the company will make more updates to the map in the future. IT Home will continue to follow up and report.
