on the afternoon of october 1, ms. sun, a family seeker from shangqiu, henan province, accompanied by police officers, came to jinqing town, luqiao district. after a lively welcome ceremony, ms. sun was surrounded and welcomed into the home. after 50 years, she finally met her 77-year-old mother.

ms. sun was born in 1971. her parents divorced when she was about three or four years old. she was put up for adoption because of her hard life, and she was separated at the old linhai station. at that time, her adoptive father was working in zhejiang and took her back to his hometown in henan to raise her when he was on a business trip. he always treated her as his own child. in order to express her gratitude for the kindness of her adoptive parents, it was not until her parents passed away in 2020 that ms. sun, with the support of her husband, began a long journey to find her relatives.

in 2021, she came into contact with the "baby come home" family-finding volunteers, and with their help, she provided blood samples to the "ling" you go home team of the criminal science and technology office of the wenling municipal public security bureau in november. not long ago, on september 26, ms. sun finally received the notification of the successful dna comparison. she was so excited that she fainted and was even hospitalized.

in fact, within a few years after they were separated, ms. sun's biological mother's family tried many ways to find out her whereabouts, but to no avail. in august 2021, ms. sun's biological mother provided a blood sample to the police. she has never given up hope in her heart, eager to see her little daughter again in her lifetime.

today, ms. sun's biological father has passed away, and she is the fourth of four siblings in her family. this two-way reunion not only made up for the regret in her heart, but also made her feel that she was really lucky and had regained the lost family love.

since 2016, police from the criminal science and technology office of the wenling municipal public security bureau have used dna, fingerprints and portrait comparisons to help family seekers find and reunite. this year, with the efforts of the "ling" your home team, 35 families have been reunited, and a total of 268 families have found their loved ones.
