in the past, after i said "shanshan is a lao deng", i also said, "i found out after searching on baidu. it turns out that lao deng refers to people who become immoral when they get older. so i am not qualified to be called lao deng because i am young. i'm not serious when i'm doing that." use this joke to "break the ice" and make the audience laugh. it will be easy to talk about it later, and the audience will follow your rhythm.

but when i was on the show, i was too nervous, so i didn’t say yes, i didn’t say it truthfully and firmly enough, and i didn’t say the second half of the sentence.

i have performed offline three to four hundred times and i am not nervous at all now, but the feeling of performing online is very different. especially during the rehearsal, it was the first time i entered such a formal shooting scene. there were sets and lights, but no audience.

i was sitting at home all day writing jokes, but there was no one to give feedback on my level, so i wanted to try it on the open mic. i called the club and asked if it was necessary to sign up for a training class to play open mic. the other party replied "not necessarily" and asked me to send the joke.

after sending it, he said to me, "you do it." this is how my talk show career started.

on the open mic, i had to introduce myself to the audience. the host asked me what my name was, and i said it would be "shan shan lai chi", which is homophonic to "shan shan lai chi". this is the nickname of my short video platform.

in the army, short video software cannot be installed on mobile phones. by the time i retire, everyone else will already be playing, so i will be "late." "shan" is taken from my real name.

but when it comes to going on stage, the words "shan shan is late" are too awkward to pronounce. the host said to just call it "shan shan" because there is a contrast. after we got off the stage, our club was basically composed of young people in their twenties and thirties. i was the only one who was older, and they all called me "uncle shanshan."

at that time, i was happy to go to open mic. i wrote a paragraph that was quite funny, and then i took it to the stage and said it. the audience laughed, and i was very satisfied. if i don't speak well or forget the lyrics, i don't have any psychological burden, because the open mic is a completely free performance.

but i can't always be a novice. gradually, i can't help myself in the world. the audience pays money to watch the show. if the jokes are not funny, it means i'm sorry to the audience, and that's definitely not okay. my pressure has increased, especially after i appeared on the show this time.

the few paragraphs of content on the show are the essence of past offline performances that i extracted. after the show is broadcast, i can no longer talk about it offline and must write new ones. for me, it's not difficult to write a short joke, but it's particularly difficult to write a high-quality joke that makes for hilarious jokes.

fortunately, i have an advantage - there are few stand-up comedians my age, and there are few people who write jokes from my perspective. i talked about my wife, my son, and i want to talk about my grandson in the future. he is less than 1 year old now. i found that there are many differences between our generation and the younger generation on how to raise children. it would be interesting to write about it.
