professor wang yingxu, director of the chongqing institute of intelligent mathematics and autonomous intelligence, said, “today’s artificial intelligence is driven by data, and our institute hopes to create an artificial intelligence driven by mathematics.
wang yingxu believes that the current hot big data learning technology has not solved the lowest level logical problem of artificial intelligence. real artificial intelligence should be logically rigorous and have human-like thinking, rather than simply having experience fed by data.
mathematically driven artificial intelligence will surpass the current data-driven artificial intelligence in terms of cost, logic and other aspects. "take new energy vehicles as an example. one of the team's research directions, 'intelligent extended range vehicles', is to use mathematics to the driving calculation method, based on the existing equipment, allows the same vehicle to drive further through more rigorous calculation and response methods.”
