jonas stampe, art historian, curator and art critic, was born in gothenburg, sweden in 1965. his doctoral research at lund university in sweden was on the art scenes in new york, paris and london during 1944-1965. since 2000, he has worked as a curator and project manager, initiating and curating more than 65 international events and festivals, including more than 480 artists from more than 60 countries. in 2017, he joined the red brick art museum as senior curator and senior researcher. in 2019, he and his wife xiao ge co-curated the award-winning exhibition "ways of seeing" at the chao art center and won the robb report annual curator award. subsequently, the two co-curated exhibitions such as "from screen to soul - 50 years of history", "when speed becomes form - living in your screen" and "beauty created by experience". recently, he curated the world's first performance art holographic image exhibition in the independent exhibition "vivaar venezia" at the 60th venice biennale in 2024; he also curated the bena exhibition that will open at beijing phoenix center in september 2024. ·vinet’s large-scale retrospective exhibition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between china and france.
