"the recycled water used in park irrigation and green space comes from two sources - lake water and pipeline recycled water. the recycled water produced by the gaobeidian recycled water plant is directly transported to the park through pipelines and is called 'pipeline recycled water'. in addition to pipeline recycled water, park green space irrigation also uses lake water is used as a supplement." wang meng said that although the lake water source also comes from the south moat and gaobeidian recycled water plant, the quality of the lake water and recycled water are still different. for example, the ph and sodium content of lake water increase as temperatures rise. the continuous accumulation of salt has a great impact on soil water permeability. planting soil is prone to compaction, affecting the normal physiological activities of the root system.
in response to these problems, wang meng led a team to conduct investigations and eventually developed a set of deep purification equipment for irrigation water quality together with the science and technology r&d center of beijing drainage group.
at present, more than 90 parks in the city use recycled water for irrigation. wang meng hopes that her research project can provide help to more parks and scenic spots in need and contribute to the construction of a water-saving society in the capital.
decorate garden scenes to welcome national day

in fact, wang meng had already "showed off her skills" as early as the haitang spring flower cultural festival held this spring. she opened an indoor bonsai exhibition in the house on the east side of qinxiangxuan on the north side of the northern square. nearly 30 palm-sized crabapple bonsais were displayed for the first time. there is only 100 square meters of exhibition space, but it creates a garden scene of "flowers blooming in bloom". as soon as it debuted, it became popular among young tourists.
"begonia is the 'one garden, one product' flower in taoranting park. every spring, the park holds the begonia spring flower cultural festival. this year is already the ninth. young people like to 'seek innovation and change'. although the lush ground-planted crabapples are everywhere, the whole garden creates a strong atmosphere of a sea of flowers, but i still want to find a new breakthrough to bring freshness to visitors and make everyone's eyes brighter. therefore, displaying miniature bonsai on the exhibition stand became my theme this year. a new attempt." wang meng remembered that during the haitang spring flower cultural festival, one of her friends came to see the exhibition, took close-ups of each bonsai, and posted the photos on the short video platform. in just half a day, received 34,000 likes.
design trendy ip to attract young people

the ecological landscape improvement project of the northern square of taoranting park is wang meng's proud work. she is responsible for the entire chain of work, from concept conception and program design to procurement, deployment, and construction organization. the original large-area paved square was reintegrated into an ecological green space landscape, and micro-topography, landscape stones, and plant-type garden green spaces were constructed to create a flower forest dominated by crabapples to enhance the landscape effect of the park.
especially at the edge of the newly built green space, wang meng dedicated about 500 square meters of display space to create a "unique" flower scene. she told a reporter from beiqing daily that flower borders are a form of planting in garden green spaces. they use groves and groups of trees as backgrounds to simulate the staggered growth of various flowers, shrubs, and flowers on the edge of woodlands in nature.
