from september to december, the second beijing chamber opera season, supported by the dongcheng district bureau of culture and tourism, will bring a series of excellent chamber operas to the audience at the dahua city performing arts center in beijing.

the five independent opera works of the second beijing chamber opera season are all adapted from lu xun's original works, namely "weeds - soliloquies of the soul" adapted and composed by jia guoping; "laozi comes out of seclusion" written by dong fangfang and composed by ma maoxuan; adapted and composed by wen deqing "the death of zhuang zhou"; "diary of a madman" written by zeng li and guo wenjing and composed by guo wenjing; and "forging a sword" written by xu jingyu and wang xilin and composed by wang xilin. except for "laozi leaving seclusion" directed by peng wenni, the other four films were all directed by yi liming. the five operas use the language of modern opera to reinterpret mr. lu xun's literary universe. each of them is a profound exploration and unique expression of lu xun's spirit.

the opera "weeds - soliloquies of the soul" and seven theater space installations, which were first unveiled on september 28th and 29th, are a comprehensive work of vocal music, instrumental music and installations. throughout the performance, the overture was performed in the theater hall. the first half was performed simultaneously in five spaces: the concert hall, the communication center, the theater, the amphitheater and the audience hall. the second half was performed in the opera house, forming a space-time intersection in seven spaces. dynamic viewing of overlapping distribution. the play is completely different from previous traditional operas. it breaks the time and space boundaries of stage performances and is presented in a new form. the audience can choose any space to immerse themselves in watching, and gain a unique experience of enjoying opera art in the multiple theater spaces of the dahua city performing arts center.
