this challenge is one of the brand activities of changhai road subdistrict's "first lesson in society". the competition was held during the national science popularization day. the changhai road subdistrict student community practice guidance station took "innovation, experience, and growth" as its core goals and fully integrated science popularization elements to hold this event.
"teacher, our group's work is a traffic light. we hope everyone can abide by traffic regulations." "what we made is a self-controlled small desk lamp! it can remind everyone to save electricity." "ours is a smart faucet, advocating everyone to save water..." students go on stage in groups of two to present their works. the works include the children's thoughts on civilized life and their beautiful vision for the future.
this year, changhai road subdistrict took the 75th anniversary of the founding of new china and the 5th anniversary of the important concept of the people's city as an opportunity, relying on the student community practice guidance station, actively explored effective ways to carry out the ideological and moral construction of minors in the community, with the theme of "original intention, unity, craftsmanship, and love", to create a characteristic brand of "the first lesson of society", and promote the realization of all-round collaborative education of "campus + family + community". in addition to this event, changhai road subdistrict also launched the "first lesson of original intention" - a series of activities of crossing the red light and shadow road; the "first lesson of craftsmanship" - a series of activities of the new "voice" generation of community governance; the "first lesson of love" - a series of activities of "career experience dream factory". the colorful practical courses attracted more than 75 families and more than 200 people to actively participate. "the content of these activities is very novel, which can not only allow children to participate in community practice, but also learn a lot of extracurricular knowledge. it is fun and educational, and my children like it very much!" at the event site, a mother gave a "five-star praise".
in addition to brand leadership, changhai road subdistrict has also continuously upgraded and enriched practical projects in response to students' practice needs during winter and summer vacations, and has opened a diverse practice menu of volunteer services, cultural experiences, public welfare labor, etc. at the same time, it has further optimized the school-society linkage mechanism, and joined forces with yangpu senior high school, tongji middle school, fudan experimental middle school, shanghai university of finance and economics affiliated middle school, etc. to jointly provide high-quality practical education activities and platforms for students in the area. so far, a total of 28 student practice activities have been carried out, 451 positions have been released, 1,365 students have participated in the service, and the volunteer service time has reached 4,544 hours.
