in order to promote the in-depth development of youth science and technology activities in the city, promote the internationalization of science and education activities, create a brand of science and technology education activities in primary and secondary schools, stimulate young people's innovative thinking, and promote students to form a correct world view, outlook on life, and values, youth daily and shanghai science, technology and art education center have decided to hold the 2024-2025 di shanghai youth innovative thinking competition. the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
activity object
1. participation in teams. each team consists of 5-7 students and is registered as a school.
(ii) the participating team members must be students from kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools (including secondary vocational schools), and universities (including higher vocational schools) in the city, as well as students from the district organized by the youth activity centers (juvenile science stations, children's palaces) under the education bureaus of each district. they must participate in the competition according to the level corresponding to the oldest participating team member in the team. each participating team must have a teacher from the school or the youth activity center (juvenile science station, children's palace) as the team leader to guide the students. the team-forming school must do a good job in selecting and training the team members and participate in the competition on time.
(iii) participants are not allowed to participate in multiple events.

1. the competition is divided into team challenge and instant challenge. each participating team must complete both the team challenge and the instant challenge.
team challenges include challenges a, b, c, d, e, po, and the rising star challenge.
team challenge a: technical challenge - complete the mission by using engineering, research, strategic planning and related skill prompts.
team challenge b: science challenge – combining the curiosity of scientific research with the creative expression of the performing arts.
team challenge c: artistic challenge – perform and create through artistic media, theatre arts, script writing and prop design.
team challenge d: improvisational challenge - based on the key elements announced on site, conduct discussion, research and improvisation, and interpret the story in the form of a team performance.
team challenge e: engineering challenge – requires students to explore the application of engineering skills and tools to design and build solutions for specific applications.
team challenge po: service-learning challenge - encourages students to participate in public service to actively address real-life community issues.
rising star challenge: provides a place for young children (kindergarten to second grade) to learn together, explore, and make new friends through simple creative process experiences.
(ii) each team can only choose one of the questions to participate. the rising stars are limited to kindergarten and first and second grade of primary school; other challenge questions are divided into four levels according to age: primary school, middle school (including secondary vocational school), and university (including higher vocational school).

please complete the submission of registration materials between november 1st and 16:00 on november 15th.
from november 30th to december 1st (tentative), the organizing committee will hold offline activities and arrange referees to review team challenges and instant challenges.
rewards
each challenge question will have awards based on the total score of the team challenge and the instant challenge. for each challenge question and each level, there will be a first prize of about 20%, a second prize of about 20%, and a third prize of about 30%. there will also be special awards: the art star award, the da vinci award, and the first place in the instant challenge.

the 18th shanghai senior high school physics competition

in order to stimulate students' interest in learning physics, cultivate their innovative spirit and practical ability, and implement the early cultivation of top innovative talents, the 18th shanghai senior high school physics competition will be held in 2024. the competition is hosted by shanghai teachers education institute (shanghai education commission teaching research office) and organized by shanghai physical society and fudan university affiliated high school.

ii. content and requirements
the content and requirements of the questions are based on the "2017 edition of the ordinary high school physics curriculum standards (revised in 2020)", covering all the contents of the compulsory courses and optional compulsory courses in the curriculum standards, and appropriately refer to the syllabus of the middle school physics competition. the questions are based on ability, focusing on testing students' understanding of physical concepts and laws and their ability to solve practical problems, reflecting the formation of subject literacy.

(2) the instructor should be determined at the time of registration, and each participating student can only fill in one instructor. if no instructor is filled in on the registration form or two or more instructors are filled in, it will be deemed that there is no instructor, and no replacement will be made later. (3) after registration is completed, participating students cannot be replaced without authorization, and the scores of students who change their own will not be recognized.
