the national space administration announced today (september 24) that after completing the chang'e-6 mission, china's lunar exploration project will lay the foundation for the international lunar research station through two more launch missions, and the first launch mission will be carried out as early as 2026. in addition to the steady progress of the lunar exploration project-related tasks, my country's multiple deep space exploration plans are also being carried out simultaneously.it is reported that tianwen-2 is scheduled to be launched next year and will complete the asteroid sampling and return mission.

focusing on major scientific issues such as the origin and evolution of the solar system, the impact of small celestial bodies and solar activity on the earth, and the search for extraterrestrial life information, my country will carry out deep space exploration missions such as asteroid exploration, mars sample return, and jupiter system exploration as planned.

bian zhigang, deputy director of the national space administration, said:tianwen-2 will be launched next year to explore asteroids and return samples. tianwen-3 will be launched around 2028 and, through two launches, will return samples from mars. tianwen-4 will be launched around 2030 to explore jupiter.we will also conduct in-depth research on heavy-lift launch vehicles and reusable space launch systems.

bian zhigang told reporters that while accelerating the deep space exploration mission, my country will also deepen international exchanges and cooperation to allow china's space "circle of friends" to continue to expand.

bian zhigang pointed out that the lunar soil collected by chang'e 5 and chang'e 6, as well as samples from asteroids and mars in the future, will be studied by chinese scientists and scientists from all over the world. our international cooperation is getting higher and higher, and the methods are becoming more and more diverse. in the future, more countries and international organizations will participate in the construction of the lunar research station.
