china youth daily client news (china youth daily, china youth network reporter yang jie) from september 21 to 22, the 7th international symposium on "roman law, chinese law and civil law codification" was held in beijing. the theme of this conference is "civil code for the future common law". scholars, judges, lawyers and legal workers from different fields of the legal community in my country, including italy, russia, south korea, brazil, mexico, colombia, serbia and other european, asian and latin american countries, attended the conference to jointly discuss the rule of civil law.

the theme report session of the conference focused on the key issues of the chinese civil code and european and roman law. the conference also set up four sub-venues and a youth forum to discuss six specific topics: legal subjects in the civil code, the civil code and the environment, debts in the civil code, the civil code and criminal law, the civil code and company law, and the experience of different countries in cultivating foreign-related legal talents. the launch ceremony of the italian civil and commercial law translation series was held on site.
it is reported that since 1994, the international symposium on "roman law, chinese law and the codification of civil law" has gone through 30 years and has become an important platform for academic exchanges between my country's legal community, especially the civil and commercial law community, and legal scholars and legal practitioners from continental law countries.
