the greenway not only improves the commuting efficiency of office workers, but also provides citizens with convenient life services and rich recreational space. walking on the chaoyang greenway is like stepping into a flowing landscape painting. the greenway passes through the lush forest, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. since the opening of the first phase of the greenbelt area park ring greenway project, it has quickly become a popular check-in spot for cycling enthusiasts and citizens and tourists.
at present, the second phase of the project is being promoted in full swing. according to the plan of the beijing municipal bureau of landscape and greening, the second phase of the chaoyang greenbelt park ring greenway project will extend eastward to changying, jinzhan and other places on the basis of the first phase, incorporating high-quality resources such as the changying half marathon greenway and jinzhan forest park, and eventually connect with the wenyu river greenway that has been built in chaoyang district and tongzhou district. at the same time, it will expand southward to gaobeidian, wangsiying, shibalidian, xiaohongmen and other areas, connecting to parks and green spaces such as xinglong park and guanzhuang park, and eventually forming a closed-loop connection with the fengtai district greenway. by then, the basic framework of the chaoyang district greenway system will form a comprehensive connection and integration, and the beautiful vision of "viewing chaoyang from a greenway" will be initially realized.
so far, chaoyang district has built a total of 310 kilometers of greenways, which closely connect parks, water systems, communities, culture, sports, business districts and other multiple spaces. among them, the chaoyang north greenway is particularly eye-catching with its unique "one line and six rings" structure. the greenway starts from the first phase of wenyu river park in the north, goes to honglingjin park in the south, to olympic forest park in the west, and to langyuan station in the east. along the way, it connects 26 large, medium, small and micro parks and green spaces, radiating to 12 streets and towns and 62 communities in the surrounding areas. with the continuous connection of various greenways and slow-moving trails, a green corridor with a total length of 440 kilometers planned in chaoyang district is about to be formed.
