according to techcrunch on september 17, socialai is an ios application designed for one person with a social platform experience, which is different from traditional social platforms (such as x): there are no other human users here, only the user himself. in short, socialai allows users to share ideas with an unlimited number of ai robots that can reply to chats endlessly.
michael sayman, the founder of socialai, is a 28-year-old developer in new york. when he was a teenager, he wrote a feature similar to snapchat for facebook. sayman has been thinking about how to create a completely private space for people to share ideas and get private feedback for many years. it was not until the recent emergence of artificial intelligence technology, especially large language models, that his idea of a "private social network" was realized.
although every interaction of socialai is generated by artificial intelligence, its operating logic is similar to social software such as x: users can post comments, reply to "others'" comments and like them, but all virtual social interactions are completely private. therefore, although the interface imitates the appearance of classic social platform applications, it is essentially something else: socialai is a social space without any prying eyes.
