the china satellite navigation system management office learned that the two satellites launched this time will carry out the trial of new technologies for the next-generation beidou system on the basis of ensuring the precise and stable operation of the beidou-3 global satellite navigation system. compared with the previous meo networking satellites, this group of satellites has upgraded the onboard atomic clock configuration and carried a new type of intersatellite link terminal. after being put into operation, it will further improve the reliability of the beidou-3 global satellite navigation system and the performance of services such as positioning, navigation, timing, and global short message communication. while supporting the stable operation of the beidou system and the large-scale application of beidou, it will also carry out relevant experiments for the upgrade of the next-generation beidou navigation satellite technology.
