august 19, 2024 – crane aerospace & electronics (crane a&e), a division of crane corporation (nyse: cr), has been selected by german original equipment manufacturer deutsche aircraft to provide the proximity sensing system for its 40-seat turboprop regional aircraft d328eco program. a few months ago, deutsche aircraft had selected crane a&e to provide the brake control system for the aircraft.

for 60 years, crane a&e has provided aircraft manufacturers with a large number of highly reliable proximity sensing components and systems to achieve highly reliable position sensing of aircraft mechanical systems. more than 30 years ago, the two parties had a previous cooperation experience, when crane provided similar proximity sensing systems for the d328® turboprop aircraft. in this cooperation, crane a&e will provide the proximity sensing interface for the d328eco model, providing a low-risk solution for deutsche aircraft.
