this afternoon, the urban spiritual scene innovation center, jointly built by tongji university digital city research institute and huawei cloud, was officially launched in changyang innovation valley, yangpu district. the innovation center will combine the location advantages of yangpu district, take the collaboration of government, industry, academia and research as the starting point, and explore the new path of transformation from urban digitalization to full-domain digitalization through scenario empowerment through the dual-wheel drive of scenario and technology, activate the new momentum of digital economy industry development through "data element ×" action, and ignite the new engine of scientific and technological innovation with artificial intelligence technology represented by large models.
hu yuhai, co-director of the urban spiritual scene innovation center and vice president of huawei hybrid cloud, introduced that the innovation center will also combine the national data bureau's pilot requirements at the industrial level in "urban digital transformation", "data space", and "data infrastructure", and work with diversified innovation entities in the district to carry out multi-dimensional innovation exploration in models, scenarios, and technologies. relying on the yangpu data intelligence base platform, it will build a direct bridge for the "last mile" between scenario needs and technological achievements.
as one of the first pilot districts of "science and technology innovation in china" in the country and the first in shanghai, yangpu district is building on the unique advantages of "scientific and technological innovation + digital economy" and "large factories + universities", giving full play to the "basic source" of high-level research universities and the "industrial source" of leading scientific and technological enterprises, accelerating the cultivation of new quality productivity, and launching the "yangshupu" brand. in recent years, yangpu district and tongji university have jointly created the tongji knowledge economy circle and the national intelligent social governance comprehensive experimental base. through the coordinated and linked development of the district and the school, the district-school cooperation mechanism has been improved and upgraded to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and the efficiency of industrial landing. with the joint efforts of both the district and the school, yangpu and tongji have become a close innovation community, governance community and party building community. yangpu district also has close and harmonious cooperation with huawei. in december 2023, huawei and yangpu signed a framework agreement to deepen strategic cooperation. the signing of the data intelligence base and the completion of the urban spiritual scene innovation center are the results of the strategic cooperation. huawei will rely on more than 30 years of root technology accumulation in the ict field, as well as innovative exploration in cloud computing, 5g, big data, artificial intelligence, digital twins and other fields to accelerate the construction of innovative scenarios based on a time-space map of data elements, and help yangpu district become a benchmark for innovative digital reforms.
at the unveiling ceremony, eight companies including huawei cloud, shanghai information investment, intelligent cloud technology, china mobile information, post and telecommunications design institute, shanghai telecom, shanghai mobile, and shanghai unicom were awarded the title of "digital diagnosis and transformation service provider". yangpu district data bureau, china telecom shanghai east district bureau, and huawei shanghai jointly signed the "strategic cooperation framework agreement on building yangpu district data intelligence base".
