beijing news (reporter zhan shengjie) from september 14th to 17th, the "beijing folk artists association national project invitational exhibition and the 23rd sanlitun street culture and art festival" was held at the sanlitun chao art center, hosted by the beijing federation of literary and art circles folk artists association, chaoyang district culture and tourism bureau, chaoyang district propaganda and culture center, chaoyang district sanlitun street working committee and office, and undertaken by the sanlitun street citizen activity center and the chinese folklore society flower arrangement professional committee.
with the theme of "let the world meet sanlitun", the event will present seven national intangible cultural heritage projects, including traditional chinese flower arrangement, cloisonné, ha-style kites, beijing rabbit god, beijing maohou, and sun-style paper-cutting, in the form of immersive performances and experiences, as well as special performances such as peking opera, guqin, and dance, allowing citizens and tourists to experience the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage at close range in sanlitun.

the exhibition site combines the architectural layout of sanlitun chao art center with the characteristics of traditional chinese flower arrangement techniques to create an exhibition space that combines modern aesthetics with traditional art, making the audience feel as if they are in the landscape of chinese paintings. various exquisite exhibits contain profound national characteristics and beautiful meanings, attracting many people to stop and watch.
at the event, excerpts from wonderful repertoires such as the dance flower arrangement "su·hua", peking opera excerpts "the case of the chopping of beauty" and "taohua village", the zither and flute ensemble "guanshan yue", the tai chi and flute performance "flowing clouds and flowing water", the famous kunqu opera excerpt "peony pavilion·garden tour", and the flower arrangement guqin "dwelling in the mountain" were performed in turn. the melodious piano sounds, loud singing and sonorous rhymes won bursts of applause from the audience.
ma shengde, former deputy director of the intangible cultural heritage department of the ministry of culture and tourism and first-level inspector, said that chaoyang district has insisted on implementing a series of measures to "use culture to enrich the city, promote industry, and benefit the people", making high-quality cultural services "visible everywhere" and "within reach". sanlitun street continues to give full play to the advantages of regional international resources and promotes the integration of intangible cultural heritage into international fashion consumption and cultural exchange activities with a new attitude. it is hoped that the street will take this event as a starting point to create a new cultural consumption scene full of openness and vitality, and help build chaoyang into a "five-friendly" city.
