the event is themed "meet the mountains and rivers together and explore the mysteries of the gallery" and is hosted by the yanqing district sports bureau and the people's government of qianjiadian town, yanqing district. this year's event has four categories for contestants: 50 kilometers (lfd dragon hunting group), 30 kilometers (epr exploration group), 10 kilometers (epg experience group), and 10 kilometers (pcg parent-child group) to meet the needs of different participants.
the track is carefully located in the picturesque chaoyang temple square, huashiliang, baili countryside, ciding, shihu, chaoyang temple and other locations, integrating various terrains such as forest roads, country trails, and alpine meadows, turning boutique tourist routes into track routes, allowing the track to enter the scenic area and the beautiful scenery to set off the event, allowing the contestants to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and fields in the challenge.

the 2024 second baili landscape gallery cross-country race is larger in scale, longer in duration, more compatible in tracks, and has the most participants in history. to ensure the smooth progress of the race, the race team set up a supply point every 8 kilometers along the way, and arranged more than 200 volunteers, staff, medical rescue personnel and security personnel to fully guarantee the safety of the runners. at the same time, this event also equipped the runners with a satellite positioning system, and used technologies such as big data analysis to monitor the runners' positions in real time to provide safety guarantees, and combined with the timing system, medical system, etc., to fully analyze the physical condition of the runners, so that the runners can concentrate on the race and go all out.
in order to practice the environmental protection concept of "leaving no trace in the mountains and wilderness", this race distributed portable environmentally friendly garbage bags to each contestant and recruited 25 "environmentally friendly runners" to clean up the track garbage generated during the race at any time, and to protect the natural ecological scenery of the "hundred miles landscape gallery" with actions, allowing the contestants to feel and practice the unique "new fashion" of cross-country racing while enjoying the scenery along the way.
during the competition, the organizing committee also provided exciting activities such as elite meet-and-greets, rock band performances, and mid-autumn festival lucky draw parties, and set up a gallery fair to showcase exquisite gallery gifts and authentic specialties such as piggy quilt flower buns, scutellaria tea, and soft-fleshed kiwifruit for contestants to choose and taste, allowing contestants to enjoy the competition while feeling the unique charm of the baili landscape gallery.
