zhang jiming, secretary general of the china soong ching ling foundation, said in his speech that people-to-people connectivity is an important part and social foundation of the joint construction of the belt and road. young people are the main force in the joint construction of the belt and road. the china soong ching ling foundation adheres to soong ching ling's concept of "creating the future" and actively helps implement the belt and road initiative. this "silk road future youth action" is mainly aimed at young people from the countries that jointly build the belt and road. it combines inviting people in and going out, and takes into account bilateral and multilateral activities. it aims to further gather the youth power to carry forward the spirit of the silk road through art performances, cultural studies, science and technology training, sports exchanges and other activities, enhance people-to-people exchanges and people-to-people connectivity, and help build the belt and road with high quality.

the opening ceremony of the malaysian youth group to china was also held on the same day. as an important activity of the "silk road future youth action", the china soong ching ling foundation and the malaysia-china friendship association jointly organized the "silk road future harmony and progress" malaysian youth exchange activity to china. more than 40 young people from malaysia, including teachers, will visit and exchange in beijing and jiangxi for 7 days.
