according to the news from bianniu.com on september 15, nio officially announced today a plan to adjust the charging model of its point exchange service.
nio said: the adjustment of the battery swap service fee charging model has triggered extensive discussions among users. on september 6, we also held a user communication meeting in guangzhou to discuss two plans. both online and offline users gave us a lot of feedback and suggestions. based on the feedback from users who support different plans, from the perspective of the battery swap pricing model, plan a is more in line with the unique cost structure of battery swap stations; plan b is easier for users to understand.
with a pricing model that is more user-friendly, we let users understand the advantages of battery swapping and gain a more convenient and flexible battery swapping experience. in the end, we chose option b, which changed the "one-price" model to the "charge-by-kwh" model. the specific adjustments are as follows:
original charging model: single battery replacement fee = fixed service fee (30/50 yuan) + electricity fee per kilowatt-hour * electricity replaced.
current charging model: single battery replacement fee = (electricity fee + service fee) * electricity amount replaced.
when the amount of electricity exchanged does not reach the set minimum amount of electricity exchanged (20 degrees), the corresponding service fee will be charged according to the minimum amount of electricity exchanged, and the electricity fee will be calculated based on the actual amount of electricity exchanged.
the above adjustments will take effect online at 00:00 on september 24, 2024.
