cai liwen was born in huichuan district, zunyi city in 1998. she was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa at the age of 2 and has been blind ever since. but the strong cai liwen did not give up. in 2006, she was selected by the coach for her outstanding performance in the first zunyi city games for the disabled and began her swimming career.
