in the 1960s, many cadres came to akdala to provide support. li huaihe, played by li xuejian, met the love of his life, hao chunli, here. they worked hard to plant cotton in this vast gobi desert, and the scarecrow witnessed their vigorous and passionate youth. however, a series of accidents hindered cotton planting, and hao chunli's whereabouts were unknown. in order to protect the results of his comrades' blood, li huaihe chose to stay in akdala and keep company with the scarecrow. 60 years later, akdala is facing a cotton crisis again. li huaihe passed on his life's work to tian li, a new generation of cadres in xinjiang. this protection across time and space has rekindled hope for this land.

the film was originally named "cadres aid xinjiang" and later renamed "akedala". according to the producer zhan mengyao, who was born in the 1990s, "akedala" is taken from the local ethnic language, which means white fields. as shown in the film, white cotton was grown on the white fields, which is a miracle!

the movie "if you love, confess" is a love movie created with dali, the "best place for love confession", as the background. it is directed by director gao feng and starred by actors such as alima, ma cancan, and zhang guoqiang. the film was shot entirely in dali, and the opening ceremony was held on october 6, 2022 at the luoquan peninsula in dali.
the film cleverly combines the fast-paced life of a modern city with the leisurely scenery of dali. it revolves around the emotional journey of xiaofeng, a bai youth, and li sipeng, a shanghai youth, who have gone through many twists and turns and finally achieved a happy ending. it uses the "slow time" by the cangshan mountain and erhai lake to heal the anxiety caused by the fast pace of big cities.
