the third dance performance season focuses on three units: "national style", "newcomer" and "international". it will last for three months and will bring 10 specially invited plays, 22 passionate performances, more than 10 rehearsal visits, master lectures and other activities.
on september 21-22, the opening performance "dance art" will break the traditional proscenium stage space and transform the seating area into a circular stage. the audience can sit on the floor and watch a 360° panoramic, immersive performance like "storm moment".
there are a total of 6 works in the "national style" unit of this dance season, including "keyi pavilion" by wang zihan, the classical dance "national dance newcomers" and dance poetry "dancing cloud gate" by beijing dance academy, "nobles in deep clothes" by han and tang dance theater, and the dance drama "twenty-four solar terms and twelve sounds of flowers" by beijing modern dance company.
"twenty-four solar terms and twelve sounds of flowers" is one of the classic works of gao yanjinzi, artistic director of beijing modern dance company. the editor uses delicate spiritual imagination and aesthetic philosophical thinking to describe the flowers in the solar terms with body language.
