it home reported on september 12 that the automotive media carscoops published a blog post yesterday (september 11), reporting that the chevrolet corvette zora supercar was spotted on the nürburgring circuit.

chevrolet has been planning a c8 model to sit above the all-new corvette zr1, which debuted six weeks ago with 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque.

sources reported that a total of four corvette zora supercars were found, each with a yellow sticker on the rear window, meaning the car is equipped with a hybrid system.

chevrolet hinted at the zr1 announcement that it could push the engine further. the e-ray's electric motor currently produces 160 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, and if chevy boosts the lt7 to, say, 1,100 horsepower, the media estimates the zora could have an output of around 1,250 horsepower.

from the outside, these prototypes don't look too different from the zr1. the front end is largely the same, though the lip may be slightly larger. the side and rear wings have limited changes and also look similar.
