on september 10, the general administration of sport of china and the ministry of public security jointly held a press conference in dalian on the special rectification action against the "fake gambling and black" problem in the professional football league. the chinese football association issued 60 fines, 43 people were banned from engaging in any football-related activities for life, and 17 people were banned from engaging in any football-related activities for 5 years. former taishan team players guo tianyu and sun junhao were both banned from engaging in any football-related activities for life. currently, sun junhao plays for the korean k league team suwon fc.

on may 12, 2023, sun junhao was taken away when he was leaving shanghai on suspicion of bribery by non-public officials. on march 25, 2024, sun junhao was released and returned to south korea. one month later, he completed registration in the k5 league and joined suwon fc in june. so far, sun junhao has played 12 times in the k league, scored 1 goal and made 1 assist.
