"it was a wonderful feeling. i walked and strolled from the morning, and completed (registration) step by step." on september 7, yu xiaonan told reporters that this morning, with the help and guidance of teachers and students from anhui arts institute, she successfully completed the admission procedures. the enthusiastic seniors also gave her a small gift for admission, and she felt very happy.
it has been yu xiaonan's long-cherished wish to take the college entrance examination and study in college like ordinary people, and she has made a lot of efforts for this. this year, she successfully passed the entrance examination for the music performance major of anhui arts institute and started her college life.

yu xiaonan told reporters that military training has always been a part of her college life that she has been looking forward to. "i want to experience how 'cruel' the real military training is." this time her wish will come true, as the school has set up a military training support group for her, so that she can better experience the military training life.
"there are more than one group set up for me, and there are groups for all aspects, which is really great." yu xiaonan said. it is understood that in order for her to better adapt to university campus life, the college has set up a special support group for her, and her classmates will provide her with help in her daily study and life. the school also built a barrier-free dormitory for her, equipped with desks, cabinets, water heaters and other living facilities, so that she can be more convenient and independent in her daily life.
during the summer vacation, yu xiaonan participated in the 7th golden blind cane visually impaired college students preparatory class initiated by the shanghai youren charity foundation and the sound wave disabled social service center. she shared her gains in the preparatory class with the upstream news reporter. not only did she learn some operating skills of electronic equipment, but she also strengthened her psychological construction in the process of communicating with the preparatory class teachers and classmates.
"the teacher told us that no matter what, things like blind sticks are used to help us in our daily lives, and we should not be shy to use them. it is true that we have poor eyesight, but this cannot stop us from pursuing a happy life. (this makes me) more confident in my own cognition or identity, and more aware of how we should live," said yu xiaonan.
at present, yu xiaonan has made plans for her university life. her dream has always been to become a special music teacher. she told reporters that she hopes to learn professional knowledge well during her undergraduate studies and strive to obtain a teacher's certificate in her junior year. in addition, she has also decided to take the postgraduate entrance examination in the future, hoping to complete the braille translation of university music textbooks during her postgraduate studies and popularize music knowledge to more visually impaired students.
"no matter how old you are, i think that if you already have a direction and plan for the rest of your life, then you should go in that direction. even if it's a little slow, or you take a wrong step, you can go back and try again, there's no problem. this is your own choice, your own life. no one else will be responsible for your life, you have to be responsible for yourself," said yu xiaonan.
