this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between china and germany. in april, german chancellor scholz visited china, and his first stop was chongqing, opening a new chapter of deepening cooperation and exchanges. yongchuan is a modern manufacturing base positioned by the state, a vocational education base in the west, and a sub-central city of the city cultivated and built by chongqing. it is accelerating the creation of an international hub. in the first half of this year, yongchuan's gdp grew by 8%, ranking first in chongqing.
at the 2024 german smart manufacturing enterprises "entering yongchuan" symposium held on the 6th, julian, acting consul general of the german consulate general in chengdu, said that chongqing will work with chengdu to jointly build the chengdu-chongqing twin cities economic circle and become a cross-regional transportation and logistics hub. cheap labor costs, good resource allocation, smooth logistics and efficient administrative management have enabled the economy to flourish.

during the inspection, seven companies including c4 laser technology co., ltd. expressed clear intentions to cooperate. during the symposium, yongchuan district reached cooperation consensus with china international investment promotion center (germany), sw machine tool co., ltd., oscar kammer vocational school, transfact co., ltd., etc. on investment promotion mechanisms, intelligent manufacturing industry projects, vocational education, etc., and signed strategic cooperation agreements.
yongchuan has always had a good cooperative relationship with german companies. in yongchuan, the sino-german (chongqing) intelligent equipment industrial park is a representative of the industrial agglomeration effect in sino-german cooperation. the industrial park has successively introduced well-known companies such as germany's liebherr, the global leader in the machinery industry, germany's eswe machine tools, the "porsche" in the machine tool industry, and siemens, the world's leading enterprise in the industrial control industry and a leader in digital transformation.

during the inspection, the german guests felt very close to the "industry + vocational education" genes that are similar between yongchuan and germany. yongchuan currently has 18 vocational colleges with 200,000 students, forming a brand effect of "learning skills in yongchuan, selecting talents in yongchuan, and developing industries in yongchuan". rüdiger schmidt, general manager of oscar kammer vocational education school in germany, commented on the school-enterprise cooperation model in yongchuan: "this model is similar to some german teaching systems. some practical training from enterprises can enable students to learn more and achieve an effective combination of theory and practice."
