recently, the international ecological conference of aerospace information industry was opened in chongqing. at the conference, chongqing released 16 large-scale comprehensive application scenarios of aerospace information.
chongqing jiangbei international airport makes comprehensive use of beidou high-precision positioning, satellite internet/ground network navigation enhancement, synthetic aperture millimeter wave radar + beidou positioning, timing and other technologies to build a beidou-based airport management platform.
after the project is completed, it will realize accurate positioning, real-time monitoring, and out-of-bounds alarms for operating vehicles; realize high-precision, large-scale real-time monitoring of fod (foreign objects on airport runways); and realize real-time deformation monitoring of the terminal building's steel structure and high fill slopes.
hu hongyao, project manager of the flight zone project department of the chongqing jiangbei international airport expansion command, told reporters that large-scale fod (foreign objects on the runway) real-time monitoring can achieve all-weather uninterrupted scanning and monitoring of the runway surface, and instantly detect foreign objects on the runway without affecting the take-off and landing of aircraft on the runway, and automatically issue an alarm. combined with manual confirmation, high-risk foreign objects that may affect aircraft safety can be discovered, confirmed, located, and removed in the first place.
the innovative integration of the beidou system and the airport foreign object detection system is a typical case of an integrated space-ground collaborative system application. the beidou system can make the airport pavement foreign object detection faster, more accurate, and more efficient, making the airport runway operation safer.
