on september 7, the 2024 third "ride for fun in beijing" charity cycling event came to a successful conclusion.

since the launch of this event in july, more than 240 young people have completed 8 beijing hutong routes with different themes through cycling. the event integrates the culture, history, humanities and characteristic blocks of the ancient capital beijing through public welfare cycling, and feels the pulse of the ancient capital beijing from all directions and angles. at the same time, it also promotes cross-strait integration, serves the development of the capital, promotes exchanges between young people on both sides of the strait, and enhances mutual understanding and friendship.

on the morning of that day, as the final stop of this event, a cycling team composed of more than 30 young people from both sides of the taiwan strait took "the endless new china" as the cycling theme, set out from qianmen beijing wang, and followed the activity route such as tiananmen square and the meridian gate of the forbidden city. they first came to the former site of the editorial office of "new youth" (chen duxiu's former residence), relived the great historical process of the early spread of marxism in china.

afterwards, the team continued to the peking university red building museum of the memorial hall of the early beijing revolutionary activities of the communist party of china. during the visit, everyone listened carefully to the explanations of the museum staff, read and watched historical materials, and witnessed the birth of the great party-building spirit, felt the magnificent historical moments, relived the awakening era, and continued the red bloodline.

young people from both sides of the taiwan strait who participated in the event checked in at red historical sites to demonstrate the may fourth spirit of "patriotism, progress, democracy, and science" conveyed by the youth of the new era.

during the event, the cycling team also completed a 13-kilometer "dragon drawing" cycling experience with beijing traffic radio's "qi miao journey" and beijing taiwan association cycling club, which added fun and participation to the event. the event also hopes to express good wishes for the motherland in this novel, healthy and environmentally friendly way.

the event was funded by the china youth entrepreneurship and employment foundation's yueyuan innovation and entrepreneurship public welfare fund, hosted by the beijing taiwan association bicycle club and "ride on the earth", and co-organized by beijing giant jing trading co., ltd. the event also received strong support from the taiwan affairs office of the dongcheng district people's government of beijing, the peking university red building museum of the early beijing revolutionary activities of the communist party of china, the former site of the new youth editorial office (chen duxiu's former residence) and beijing fang.
