as the only comprehensive electric power technology service enterprise in yunnan province with a complete range of professional categories and high-tech enterprise qualifications, the experimental research institute positions itself as a radiation center for south asia and southeast asia and a pioneer in ecological civilization construction. it actively assumes the political, economic and social responsibilities of state-owned enterprises, serves as a practitioner of the joint construction of the "belt and road", strives to be a leader in new energy services, and makes important contributions to yunnan's green development and opening up.
over the past 10 years, the test institute has provided technical supervision and technical services for many hydropower stations in laos and myanmar, effectively improving the safe operation capabilities of the laos and myanmar power grids, and helping the "belt and road" countries to ensure electricity safety with high-quality services. in addition, it has participated in the technical support work for the power supply system of the china-laos railway, contributing technical strength to the smooth opening and safe operation of the entire china-laos railway.
to help yunnan build a strong province of green energy, the experimental research institute continues to strengthen the research and development of core technologies in the hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic and other industries, and provide high-quality energy consumption and new energy grid connection services. it independently develops high and low voltage ride-through capability detection devices that are suitable for high altitudes and mountainous areas, jointly develops the largest capacity (10mw) grid adaptability test device in china, and develops oscillation control technology for high-proportion hydropower systems, covering all 101 large hydropower units in yunnan, to fully ensure green energy consumption.
at the same time, we carried out fault voltage ride-through tests under different short-circuit ratios, broadband impedance scanning, and unit capability verification under phase angle mutation conditions. we completed fault voltage tests on more than 100 wind turbines or inverters, broadband impedance scanning and phase angle mutation hardware-in-the-loop simulation tests on more than 10 types of inverters/converters and svg, providing an important basis for the impact analysis of the access of new energy units to the power grid. in response to the frequency problem after the asynchronous networking of the yunnan power grid, we carried out research on the optimization of active power control strategies and oscillation prevention and control technologies for new energy units and promoted their application, and made major breakthroughs in key technologies such as the construction of new energy agc/avc configuration systems and the research on harmonic monitoring and control of new energy stations. so far, we have completed relevant tests on more than 240 stations, effectively reducing the safety risks of new energy grid connection and providing strong support for the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
in order to further improve the scientific and technological innovation system and strengthen the construction of the innovation management system, the experimental research institute has made every effort to build an innovative industrial cluster, highlighting technical services and technological innovation applications. in terms of management mechanisms, we will take the scientific and technological innovation planning as the guide, optimize the management process, consolidate the main responsibility, comprehensively improve the scientific and technological innovation management and implementation system, and establish a "self-reliance + cooperation" dual-driven r&d model. we will also increase independent research and development efforts, build a large r&d system in cutting-edge technology research, basic research, original technology, etc., strengthen industry-university-research cooperation with tsinghua university, kunming university of science and technology and other universities, increase the introduction of foreign intelligence, and further strengthen scientific research capabilities through joint application of projects and joint product development.

for a long time, research-based enterprises have had the common problem of many research results but few transformation outputs. the experimental research institute has established a synchronous mechanism for feasibility studies of scientific and technological project establishment and transformation of results, and created a scientific and technological innovation transformation incubation base that combines technical verification, comprehensive incubation services, and scientific and technological achievement display and exchange. it has taken the lead in establishing an integrated innovation model of "r&d-incubation-transformation" within the southern power grid system, realizing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements as much as possible, incubation as fast as possible, and high production, which has effectively promoted the docking and integration of innovation and entrepreneurship.
on the basis of fully understanding the market demand, the experimental research institute cooperates with the r&d units within the system to do a good job in "research"; carefully selects projects with high scientific and technological content and great market potential, and accelerates "incubation" through a joint incubation mechanism; for mature products, it increases resource investment and opens up the key links of achievement transformation to do a good job in "transformation". up to now, there are 42 types and 215 models of transformation products on sale, 129 achievement transformations have been undertaken, and more than 10 star products such as secondary intelligent operation and maintenance series products and insulated operating rod special series combination tools have been created, which effectively serve the construction of yunnan's new power system.
at the same time, as the implementing body, the experimental research institute continues to promote the substantive operation of the yunnan power grid science and technology innovation achievement transformation incubation base, realize internal and external connections, and make the sources of achievements more abundant and smooth. in 2023, more than 90 scientific and technological achievement transformation projects will be carried out. as of the end of july this year, 18 incubation enterprises and 16 incubation teams have successfully settled in, and 13 incubation projects have been incubated. in the past five years, sales revenue has exceeded 194 million yuan, with an average annual revenue growth rate of 157.29%.
